Hunger Impact Month and Day

November is the month the Season of Service is focusing on hunger. There are 3 ways you or your church or organization can get involved!

  1. Host a Local Food Drive through the month of November (ending November 20th) with the Arizona Hunger Campaign.
  2. Volunteer with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) to pack meals for global relief.
  3. Join with others on November 20th by packaging meals at various FMSC locations and bring non-perishable food for a local food bank.

Neighborhood Revitalization Impact Day Event

January 17, 2011: Tree Planting and Park Cleanups

Thousands of people will be giving their time and energy on the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend (January 15-17) to implement public park and neighborhood cleanups, tree planting and beautification. Be a part!

Numerous city mayors, councilpersons, and other civic leaders are being invited to come out and serve on the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in their neighboring communities. This is in response to the challenge given by City of Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman during the Season of Service launch last October. All participants demonstrate the true nature of selfless service behind SOS.

Sleepless in Arizona

Spend the day serving by cleaning and rehabbing supportive housing shelters in your area. Then attend the Sleepless in Arizona event — an awareness opportunity to learn about homelessness and to engage with service providers.
