Business & Civic Luncheon with Luis Palau, March 17, 2011 - CityScape served as the venue where the Lord was lifted up in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

Lindz West from the group LZ7 flew in from his English homeland to get the crowd going as emcee for the two-day festival and perform some of his own material.

Ventriloquist Mark Thompson gave four hysterical performances for the families at CityFest.

Action Sports - All were in disbelief at the gravity-defying spectacle put on by the Riders For Christ freestyle motocross team.

Phil Wickham took to the main stage on Saturday following the Spanish presentation which featured Mariachi Getsemani, Marisol, Contagious, and a message from Luis Palau.

Luis Palau presented a message of Good News to a crowd of 60,000 Saturday following more rousing musical performances by Mat Kearney and Dave Lubben.

Counselors were on hand to speak and pray with festival attendees responding to the life-changing messages delivered from the main stage as well as at the Action Sports and Family Fun Zone areas.

Saturday night’s headliner Toby Mac gave a much anticapted performance to the energized audience to close out day #1 of Arizona CityFest.

Toby Mac’s spirited set was a highlight for many.

Day #2 saw thousands more gather at the main stage after another day of CityFest fun, eager for the performances awaiting them that night.

Sunday evening saw Andrew Palau, Luis’ youngest son, share his inspiring story with the crowd.

Andrew welcomed very special guest, MLB All-star Josh Hamilton, to CityFest to discuss Josh’s experiences of redemption and empowerment through Christ.

Luis Palau took to the stage once more to give a fresh message of hope than what was delivered the previous day.

With Bible in hand, Luis Palau called upon the audience to raise their hands to show that they are ready to dedicate their lives to God.

The response given by the crowd to Luis’ charge was overwhelming.

But the night wasn’t over yet. The hard rock band Skillet headlined Sunday night which also saw musical performances given by Grammy award winning Israel Houghton and country music phenomenons The Band Perry.

With hard-driven guitars and explosive pyrotechnics, Skillet’s set finished off Arizona CityFest with a bang indeed.

Over 110,000 people attended Arizona CityFest over two days at Tempe Town Lake for an experience that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
